What happened?
Among a sea of low-effort and misinformation-filled “reviews” of Violet Wands and their immitators, one website cut through the BS. dv8trade.com was the website for information on high-voltage, high-frequency… ahem therapeutic devices. dv8trade also made a lot of custom accessories for these devices, usually with more consideration for safety than anything else on the market. But in early 2025, the website went offline.
I reached out to them in July to see what was happening.

I saw that the DV8trade website is down, and that your online stores are closed. I hope you’re doing ok. I was wondering if you’re still making violet > wand accessories.
I’m in Australia and have been hoping to buy some DV8 MAG-System accessories for my D’arsonval device for a while. If you’re still making parts, or if you > have any remaining stock, please let me know.
Thanks very much, Misofist
And I pretty quickly got a reply.

Run through Google Translate, that says “he has died; he was found lifeless in his home.”
Jens has passed away. His business is defunct, and his website is gone.

Who was Jens?
I didn’t know Jens. I’m not really qualified to be writing this post. I never spoke to Jens, I never even got around to buying any of his products. I was just a window-shopper.
At the same time, judging from a couple of threads online wondering what happened to dv8trade.com, it feels like maybe I was one of few people to receive an answer to this question, or perhaps even the only one. So I felt I should share the information.
I reached out to the same contact email several months ago asking if they’d be comfortable with me making this post and whether they had any words about Jens they’d like me to include. Unfortunately I did not hear back from them.
If anyone who knew Jens personally is reading this, or anyone who interacted with him in the kink community, feel free to reach out to me and I will publish your message here. You can contact me at misofist@heavendivided.net.
(Also if Jens’ family / loved ones want this post taken down, please contact me at the same address.)
Sadly for the moment all I know about Jens was his work on dv8trade.com.
What was dv8trade?
dv8trade was the business Jens set up to sell his home-made Violet Wand accessories. It also provided all kinds of useful information about Violet Wands in general, such as buying guides, safety… wait actually. It’s easier if I just show you.
Archive copy of dv8trade.com
I think that the information that Jens shared with the world is too valuable to be confined to the obscurity of Wayback Machine. I think it should show up on DuckDuckGo when you search for it. I think it should be easily linkable. I think that, given the amount of work Jens put into writing it, it would be tragic for it to disappear. So I’m hosting an archived copy of the site, as it looked during its last days online.
You can access this archive at dv8trade.archive.heavendivided.net.
I’d like to draw your attention to the following pages:
- Who was Jens?
- Buying guide for Violet Wands
- Safety issues with most Body Contact devices on the market
- Manuals for various Violet Wands
- A list of the creative electrodes Jens designed and manufactured
What next for Violet Wand enthusiasts?
With Jens gone, nobody is producing these accessories anymore. This means it is very difficult to get a safe body contact adapter for a Violet Wand, and you can completely forget about all the completely unique electrodes Jens was making.
Violet Wands are a niche interest, and it remains to be seen whether anyone will step up to fill this hole.
I’m somewhat interested in reverse-engineering Jens’ designs and publishing them as open source. If this is something you’d like to be involved in, please contact collab@heavendivided.net.
