Having more people in my bed objectively gives me a worse night of sleep (less space, more limited posture options, worse thermal regulation, disturbances) but I wake up feeling more refreshed somehow?

  • 10 hours of sleep on my own
  • 8 hours with my girlfriend
  • 6 hours with my girlfriend and someone else

Each of these gives me the same feeling of restedness.

And don’t even get me started on how being partially woken up 5 times during the night for sleepy gropes and grinding further improves how rested I feel when I wake up.
